• Coordinate and assist in the effective delivery of Susu operations and activities within the agencies of the bank
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage the activities of Susu Coordinators and Mobile Bankers in all the agencies
• Develop strategies and a work plan for the Susu Unit in consultation with management
• Promote and market the Susu product to all stakeholders
• Initiate and develop outreach and mobilisation programmes for new communities
• Manage the Susu portfolio of the bank
• Embark on a field visit and monitor the activities of agency coordinators and susu field officers
• Reconcile customers Susu accounts
• Appraise customer loan requests and book Susu loans
• Sensitising and building strong confidence in customers
• Ensure proper appraisal of all branch Susu coordinators and mobile bankers
• Prepare a monthly performance report for management and the board
• Advise management on key decision-making
Qualification Required & Experience
• First Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking with a minimum of 3 years of working experience in a related role
• Part professional qualification such as ICA, ACCA, CIMA will be added advantage
Competencies
• Proficient in T24 Banking software and other relevant banking applications
• Knowledge in Susu operations within the rural banking sector
• Must demonstrate sound accounting and banking principles and procedures
• Ability to work with less supervision and to meet target
• Good leadership and interpersonal skills
• Results driven and customer focused
