Technical Advice and Support on Project Implementation:
- Develop technical skills of field teams and FLT Trainers, especially on planning, financial literacy topics, teaching delivery, monitoring and evaluation.
- Keep up to date on developments in the Financial Literacy sector and ensure that learning is incorporated into programming and shared with other staff.
Project planning
- Work collaboratively with the Project Coordinator and other team members (FRC and IP) to develop Financial literacy trainings-related work plans for the respective locations
- Identify and select beneficiaries attending the financial literacy trainings from returnee and host communities according to the criteria set by the project.
- Coordinate the identification and selection of volunteers from returnee and host communities to be trained as Financial Literacy Training (FLT) peer Trainers.
Stakeholder relations and networking
- Sustain relations and effective communication and information sharing with relevant stakeholders – including IP, other NGOs providing literacy trainings and cash assistance, local authorities, target community leaders, etc., other
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
- Ensure in cooperation with M&E Officer, that mechanisms are in place to measure and improve quality of the project, sharing best practises and transfer of technical skills to team members.
- Assist and provide information to baselines and end line studies when necessary and relevant.
- Support active monitoring & evaluation amongst field staff, collect and analyse data.
Implementation and development
- Lead and manage field team members, including peer trainers, to ensure clarity over plans, targets and priorities of the financial literacy project component.
Requirements:
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, Business / Livelihood Skills, Development Studies, Community Development, or other relevant field, combined with strong experience on training adults and M&E.
- Post graduate qualification in Project Management and Planning, M&E is an added advantage.
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience at middle management level for INGOs.
Essential Skills:
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Good communication, feedback, and interpersonal and supervisory skills, assertive and able to question unclear transactions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication ability.
- Good computing skills; proficiency on Word, Microsoft Office packages and M&E tools such as Kobo toolbox.
- Proficient written and spoken English language skills.
- Commitment to FRC´s values and Humanitarian Principles.
Desirable:
- Training on security.
- Familiarity and previous experience in cash programming and functional adult literacy.
