The Technical Director will be responsible for overseeing supporting the MoE and particularly working with the CDC to review, develop and adapt materials for the foundational learning package, as well as the development of the training and coaching materials and to support the training of national, provincial and district level trainers. S/he will work closely with the technical advisors to develop an integrated remediation strategy for grades 1-3.
Qualifications
Education:
Master’s degree in Education.
Skills and Experience:
- The Technical Director will have at least 7 years of experience focused on technical assistance for foundational literacy, including leading teams to develop materials and to deliver training.
- S/he will have a deep understanding of the Zambian education system.
- Experience implementing education programs in a developing country, preferably in Zambia or Southern Africa, is highly desired.
Language:
Professionally proficient and fluent in written and spoken English.
