Qualifications, experience and attributes
The candidate needs to have at least a BSc or HND in soil science, environmental soil physics
or related field.
Responsibilities
To collect samples from a variety of sources (e.g. water, soil air plants), including utilizing
proper sampling collection and handling techniques.
To perform accurate and precise analyses of samples.
To operate, maintain and calibrate analytical instruments and equipment.
To use computer, spread sheets and data management systems for recordkeeping,
reporting, and data analyses.
To keep accurate and legible records.
To undertake operational activities required to fulfil the requirements of the Environmental
Plan.
To prepare and supervise students practicals.
To conduct environmental sampling, data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
To provide community outreach in the field of environmental soil physics.
To initiate and implement research & development programs in the field of environmental
soil physics.
