Qualifications, experience and attributes

 Must have at least a BSc and HND in applied and analytical chemistry, agrochemicals
development, chemical engineering or related field.
Responsibilities
 Candidates should be able to collect samples from variety of sources (eg water, soil, air,
plants) including utilizing proper sampling collection and handling techniques.
 To perform accurate and precise chemical analyses of samples.
 To operate, maintain and calibrate analytical instruments and equipment.
 To use computer, spread sheets and data management systems for recordkeeping,
reporting and data analyses.
 To prepare testing media and reagents.
 To keep accurate and legible records.
 To prepare and supervise students practicals.
 To conduct chemical analyses of soil and plant materials for fertilizer recommendations.
 To provide community outreach in the field of environmental and soil chemistry and soil
fertility.
 To initiate and implement research and development programs in the field of environmental
and soil chemistry and soil fertility.
