- The overall job purpose of a Survey Technician is to conduct precise measurements and setting out works to support construction, engineering, land development, and mine infrastructure.
Specific Job Responsibility
Survey Technician will be required to perform the following tasks:
- All measurements and setting out of roads, dams and drainages
- All measurements and setting out requested by stakeholder departments in relation to platforms, boundary extents, design pickups and specific Topo surveys.
- The use of electronic survey equipment
- Ensure compliance and recommend training for subordinates
- Quality control as-builts for all active construction sites under stakeholder jurisdiction
- Downloading and processing data collected.
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Site Surveyor

Experience required to perform in this job
- 5 years’ experience in a similar industry
Qualifications
- Grade 12 Certificate with a minimum of 5 passes
- Diploma in Surveying/ Geomatics or related
