Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute trade marketing strategies to achieve sales targets and improve product visibility. This includes identifying market opportunities, setting objectives, and creating plans to achieve them.
- Manage trade promotions by planning, executing, and analyzing the effectiveness of promotions, such as discounts, coupons, and special offers.
- Manage budgets and resources and be responsible for allocating and managing budgets for marketing activities, ensuring they are used effectively.
- Analyze market trends, industry activities, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
- Merchandising and shelf placement by working with retailers to optimize product placement and merchandising strategies to maximize visibility and sales.
- To develop and manage the creation and deployment of POS materials, such as displays, banners, and shelf talkers.
- Design and implement promotional activities, including in-store displays and events, to engage customers and drive sales.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to refine marketing strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of trade marketing programs and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Build strong relationships with retailers and distributors to ensure alignment and support for marketing initiatives.
- Track and manage trade marketing budget to ensure effective allocation of resources.
- Conduct training for sales teams and retail staff on new products and promotional initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Motor Vehicle Drivers License (Minimum 2 Years of Driving as per Insurance Regulations)
- Must be a Member of Zambia Institute of Marketing
- Minimum of 3 years experience in trade marketing or a similar role, preferably within the agriculture industry.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with market research and sales analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Proven track record of developing successful trade marketing programs and promotional campaigns.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and marketing analytics tools.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with retailers and attend events.
- Enthusiastic team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
