In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the compliance with collateral management, monitoring conditions and financial covenants in loan agreements, credit facilities, or other financial arrangements between a borrower and a lender in relation to Trade & Working Capital Products.

In this role your key accountabilities will include the following;
- Ensuring that the borrower adheres to the financial metrics and conditions set forth in the terms of the loan agreement.
- Tracking the borrower’s performance against these covenants and conditions and help mitigate the risk of non-compliance or potential defaults.
- Managing the interface with front office, middle office and back office and all internal infrastructure (Credit, Agents) partners to ensure a smooth client experience during the lifecycle of the deal.
- Providing training and support and manage the account on-boarding service to new clients
- Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Absa Policies and Policy Standards
- Understanding and managing risks and risk events (incidents) relevant to the role

- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics. Commerce, Banking, Technology or a Post Graduate degree or MBA preferably.
- 5 or more years of experience in security risk management (collateral management, financial covenants)
- 5 or more years of Trade Operations and Banking experience
- 2 -3 years of experience managing or leading a team with a collateral and or risk management function.
- Knowledge of regulatory and statutory requirements: Basel III/IV

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
