- As a key member of the CPS CONCO Transportation & Logistics Team, responsibilities include coordinating the local team of Transport & Logistics Planners ensuring workload is appropriately balanced to maximize utilization and efficiency of all transportation operations actively contributing to the Logistics strategies for CPS CONCO and Global TCCC.
- Lead, develop and coach T&L associates to secure on-time operations and develop performance.
- Lead Projects as assigned and contribute to the overall business strategy execution.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Functional Strategy: Responsible for driving, executing and following Transportation & Logistics operations as well as all related services for promptly and efficiently delivering goods from/to our suppliers/customers. Measure and report transportation activities and efficiencies to accurately control performance and service level ensuring a positive experience for our customers.
- Leadership: Promote and support TCCC values within the team to engage the ability to create, innovate and succeed in all their personal and collective challenges.
- Operations: Ensure Transportation rates are kept current & formally handed over to finance with up-to-date Service Level Agreements in place with all Carriers.
Control and validate Freight Settlement processes with Carriers and finance teams, by ensuring on time billing by Carriers and perform Validation of freight invoice charges before passing to finance for settlement.
Ensure latest Government & International Transport regulations are adhered to and amendments are swiftly actioned.
Manage a defined portfolio of Logistics activities, including functional metrics (KPIs) reporting, inbound shipments process, DPS model,
Be the Power User for SAP and other Digital Transformation Tools within the function and communicate daily with stakeholders on Transportation performance.
- Project Management: Ensure Team is executing Local/Global projects using standards processes and specific tools such as charters, risk assessments, Gantt charts, decision matrices throughout the projects.
- System Alignment: Accountable for driving complete alignment, standardisation & consistency of transportation tools and processes across CPS CONCO. Accountable for driving alignment with the support of our CRM strategies across CONCO.
- Collaboration: – Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders of the company (materials management, production, warehouse, quality, customer management) and external stakeholders (carriers, logistics providers) to ensure operational issues are addressed and corrective action provided on time.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure that all activities are duly performed against Company control requirements such as KORE, SOX, etc. and local applicable legislation/regulation.
- OE: Use operational excellence methodology and lean approach to all activities carried out in Transportation & Logistics.
Educational Requirements:
10 years+ Experience in Transportation & Logistics, Warehouse & Distribution and Supply Chain.
Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management or other related field.
