One Acre Fund is a nonprofit organization that supplies smallholder farmers in East Africa with asset-based financing and agriculture training services to reduce hunger and poverty.

About The Role

  • You will lead operations for all our Kenya offices, residences, and guesthouses across all our regions of operation ensuring the provision of exceptional, cost-effective services that positively impact productivity, increase sustainability, and result in an excellent experience for all staff
  • You will be in the Corporate Operations Department within the People Division. You will report to the Corporate Operations Manager

You will manage the:

  • Corporate Operations Coordinator (1)
  • Facility Services Management Coordinator (1)
  • Senior Nairobi Administrative Supervisor (1)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations to maintain quality standards and exceptional service provision.
  • Implement and audit management systems to maintain expected performance standards.
  • Manage assets through their life cycle for space/work resourcing.
  • Manage large and minor projects, ensuring completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the end-to-end planning, organization and delivery of important Tupande and global events, supporting the achievement of the event goals
  • Analyse expenditure to develop strategies to manage or reduce recurring expenses while maintaining quality.
  • Develop a performance culture through mentorship and professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture, implementing initiatives to boost team morale.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in our facilities.

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 2 years of Project management and implementation.
  • Proficiency with maintaining complex spreadsheets (can perform complex functions) and databases.
  • Efficient work organisation.
  • Ability to build and lead cohesive teams
  • Ability to communicate with other colleagues and stakeholders
  • 2+ years of work experience.
  • English and Kiswahili required
