Duties and Responsibilities

-Follows standardised processes and provides administrative support in line with normal business functioning
-Delivers on daily production standards and works within set time standards
-Adheres to service and quality standards
Specific Key Result Areas
Accurately and timeously
-screens and creates underwriting assessment cases
-send formal correspondence regarding underwriting decisions
-Responds to intermediaries, members and employers regarding underwriting statuses.
-Professionally communicates with medical and other service providers regarding requirements.
-Updates and maintain underwriting records on relevant systems (Chorus, Compass and GUS)
Qualifications and Experience
-Matric
-Work experience in Group Assurance claims and underwriting processing
-Experience working in a team with shared outputs
-Competent in use of Chorus (AWD), Compass and EMS
-Computer literacy with knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
-Ability to work under pressure and deliver daily work targets
-Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
