The Utilities Officer will be mainly responsible for the efficient management and maintenance and
of cold room, air-conditioning, and heating systems. The successful applicant will be responsible for
cold room refrigeration units servicing, generation and distribution of compressed air, steam, treated
and chilled water for reliable plant operation.
OVERALL DUTY
Perform daily routine checks, repairs, maintenance, and upgrade the factory’s cooling, water
treatment and heating systems. Set up and implement maintenance schedules and reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Install, monitor, and maintain HVAC equipment including refrigeration/cold room, air conditioners, compressors, chillers, water cooling towers etc.
• Prepare SOPs and records/checklist for all utility equipment (cold-room units, split air conditioners, reefers, RO system, boiler, air compressor, compressor, chillers)
• Establish and implement maintenance plans and schedules for utility equipment (coldroom units, split air conditioners, reefers, RO system, boiler, air compressor, compressor,
chillers).
• Track energy consumption of site and plants to control consumption and drive energy reduction projects towards annual savings.
• Provide technical advice on specification for the selection and acquisition of new HVAC related equipment considering latest regulations and environmental sustainability/ impact.
• Maintain records of technical and maintenance activities.
• Support new projects and improvements of existing infrastructure.
• Ensure EHS requirements are implemented.
• Supervise service contractors when on site
JOB REQUIREMENT
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
Minimum HND Mechanical Engineering (Refrigeration Option) or related field
WORK EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience
• Experience in drafting and establishing SOPs, plans, checklists and reviewing trends for decision
making.
• Conversant with cold room, water chillers, air compressors , split air conditioners, boilers and RO
systems
