The Veterinary nurse will be involved in hands-on nursing care of a range of small animals, and occasionally large animals providing both emergency and routine healthcare. The vet nurse will work alongside our veterinary surgeons and support staff to provide the best possible care for animals, while educating pet owners about how they can manage and prevent further injuries and/or sickness.
Responsibilities:

Provide in-patient care as instructed by the veterinarian

Assist in surgical procedures

Monitor and document patients’ recovery progress after surgery or treatment.

Monitor anaesthesia during surgical procedures and provide post-operative care.

Assist in restraining and handling animals during examinations, procedures, and treatments.

Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
Qualification & Experience Required: The applicant must be a holder of a Diploma in Animal Health and Livestock Production obtained from an accredited institution. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
