- Oversee reporting to executives and external disclosures.
- Enable value-add management information and reporting for executive business decision making.
- Consider information received from business units and translate into less complex executive summaries as needed.
- Ensure that the reporting process is efficient, and that duplication is avoided.
- Ensure business ownership and clarity is provided to business units on minimum reporting standards.
- Ensure a clear, concise governance process is implemented
- Implement assurance processes to demonstrate embedding of policies within the business.
- Define the metrics, indicators and dashboards for reporting
- Define standards for reporting the business risk profile and risk data aggregation
- Ensure effective controls are in place over the processes for reporting
- Work with portfolio heads within the business to ensure initiatives are aligned to the overall business change agenda
- Continuously monitor, the potential impact of new tactical plans on the reputational risk of the IA Function and the Bank and advise IA Leadership Team members on appropriate action to take to minimise the risk.
- Oversee and check the quality and timeliness (including planning and scheduling of reviews as necessary) of MI insights, reporting, population and distribution to various stakeholders as required.
- Manage the Internal Audit portfolio of change initiatives within the required Absa policies and standards.
- Oversee the development of business cases for new projects. Ensure that benefits realisation is appropriately recorded and realised.
- Ensure that the necessary attention is given to problematic projects and manage escalated issues impacting project deliverables. Review risks, issues and mitigating actions that have been put in place.
- Ensure transition of project to business as usual with a focus on continued delivery post closure of projects.
- Periodically review the tactical plans put in place in the IA Function to deliver the IA strategy as set out and ensure that continued focus and delivery is maintained on the key deliverables and continuous improvement.
- Act as initial point of entry for escalated internal and external stakeholder queries. Redistribute the resolution or respond directly to the stakeholders, where appropriate.
- Attend a multitude of strategy forums and key management committees to stay up to date with operational conditions and provide early warning of any probable issues and proposed solutions.
- Critical support in the management of the IA Governance Reporting and Operations teams to ensure smooth operations and that resources are available and operating effectively.
