Minimum requirements:
Education:
An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: finance, law, sanitation, water public health, social sciences, behavior change communication, sanitary engineering or another relevant technical field.
Additional relevant post-graduate courses that complement/supplement the main degree are a strong asset.
Work Experience:
A minimum of five years of professional experience in WASH-related programmes for developing countries is required.
A minimum of two years managing multi-million-dollar grants, including financial monitoring, reports and donor relationships.
Experience with commercial utilities operation and maintenance of small, piped water schemes and boreholes as well as water treatment chemicals should be noted in the cover letter.
Selected candidate must have strong English report and proposal writing skills.
Language Requirements:
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
