Airtel Kenya wishes to recruit for the role of Wholesale Business Lead within the Enterprise Department. Reporting directly to the Enterprise Director, the role holder will have Sales and account management ownership to the wholesale customers (Mobile Operators, Carriers, OTTs and ISPs). He /she will be responsible for hunting new prospects, managing the penetration strategy, ensure achievement of the set targets for wholesale products and services.

Responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

  • Drive the achievement of revenue targets as per wholesale business objectives.
  • Build and develop strategic relationships with key decision makers of identified customers.
  • Lead in the development of a sales pipeline.
  • Constantly identify growth opportunities, up-selling and cross – selling potential to increase account and product penetration.
  • Position international submarine capacity and terrestrial fiber capacity to generate revenues in line with available wholesale services.
  • Understand, anticipate customer requirement, map competition and position Airtel’s wholesale services as the preferred service provider for the account.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external cross-functional stakeholders to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree in a Business-related field with at least 4-5 years’ Business to Business (B2B) work experience within telecommunication industry.
  • Sound knowledge of wholesale services like IPLC, MPLS, IP Transit, etc.
  • A good understanding of local geography and network is a must.
  • Strong relationship-building and customer retention skills
  • Ability to deal with demanding customers in a fast-moving environment.
  • Entrepreneurial with a high degree of professionalism, maturity, and confidentiality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Agile to lead in an environment of constant change.
  • Creative, forward thinker
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
