Financial Accounting and Administration
- Records financial data into systems, monitors and analyses financial data.
- Executes, checks and consolidates all necessary activities and checks to assure complete and correct allocation of project costs, in line with financial regulations, SNV financial standards and guidelines and donor requirements.
- Ensure complete and correct allocation of costs and time.
- Ensures that internal and external reporting are aligned to financial regulations, SNV financial standards and guidelines and donor requirements. Assists in the management of intercompany projects and reporting.
Financial control and information
- Regularly provides (requested and non-requested) financial reports, analysis and advice to provide insight in the overall financial status in order to safeguard financial performance, profitability and to estimate financial risks and take precautions.
Reporting
- Provides financial reports to meet both internal and external donor requirements.
- Supports the project manager in being compliant to internal- and external procedures and regulations and SNV and donor guidelines regarding the financial administration of projects.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- BA degree preferred MA in accounting, finance, or a related field from recognized unversity.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant working experience in NGOs of which 4 years in General Accounts unit.
- Good knowledge of computer – Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ERP software.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Well organized and able to act professionally and ethically.
