Job description

  • Lead and manage a team of CIT security officers and drivers.
  • Provide guidance, training, and supervision to ensure the team’s safety and security.

Security Protocols:

  • Implement and enforce security procedures and protocols to safeguard cash and valuables during transportation.
  • Conduct pre- and post-operational security checks to ensure compliance.

Route Planning and Navigation:

  • Plan efficient routes to minimize risks and delays during transit.
  • Ensure all team members are familiar with route details and potential security hazards.

Cash Handling:

  • Oversee the proper handling, counting, and secure storage of cash and valuables during transit.
  • Maintain a chain of custody for all items.

Emergency Response:

  • Be prepared to respond to security incidents, robberies, and other emergencies.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement and follow emergency response procedures.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Ensure that vehicles and security equipment, such as armored trucks and firearms, are well-maintained and in working order.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, deliveries, and any security breaches.

Communication:

  • Maintain clear and effective communication with team members, dispatch, and clients.
  • Provide regular updates on the status of cash-in-transit operations.

Customer Service:

  • Interact with clients and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns as needed.

Security Training:

  • Conduct training sessions for crew members on safety, security, and emergency response procedures.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an NCE qualification with relevant work experience.

  • Leadership: The ability to lead and motivate a team of security personnel, ensuring they work cohesively and efficiently.
  • Security Expertise: A deep understanding of security protocols, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures specific to cash-in-transit operations.
  • Emergency Response: Proficiency in responding to security incidents, robberies, and emergencies, including coordination with law enforcement.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with team members, clients, and law enforcement agencies.
  • Compliance: Knowledge of industry regulations, legal requirements, and company policies governing CIT operations.
  • Risk Management: Skill in assessing security risks, evaluating route hazards, and making informed decisions to mitigate potential threats.
  • Customer Service: The ability to interact professionally and courteously with clients, customers, and other stakeholders during CIT operations.
  • Equipment Proficiency: Mastery of the safe handling and operation of security equipment, including armored vehicles and firearms.
  • Training and Development: Capability to provide security training and guidance to crew members, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles.
  • Team Management: Competency in effectively managing and supervising security officers and drivers, including delegation of tasks and responsibilities.

Skills:

  • Route Planning: Proficiency in planning and navigating efficient and secure routes for CIT operations, considering potential risks and traffic conditions.

  • Vendor Management: Skill in managing relationships with equipment suppliers, vehicle maintenance providers, and other external service providers.
  • Client Relations: Ability to maintain positive client relationships, address client inquiries, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Physical Fitness: Physical strength and stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects and performing security duties.
  • Vehicle Maintenance Awareness: Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and the ability to perform basic vehicle checks and repairs in emergencies.
  • Budget Management: Understanding of budget management, cost control, and financial management within the CIT operations.
