Purpose of the Role:

To help the company make critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, and correcting the company’s finances. To manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.

 

Reporting To: Functionally, the CEO and Managing Director and Technically the Commercial manager or their designee.

 

Qualification: BSc / HND in Accounting, Finance, or relevant professional certificate – ACCA level 2, CIMA, or related areas.

Practical Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role

  • Knowledge on Financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to promptly report for work when called upon by supervisor.
  • Proven work experience in the accounting field.
  •  Proficiency in the use of accounting software packages.
  • Ability to display professionalism and composure during potential pressure.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following.

  • Collecting, tracking, and correcting the company’s finances.
  • Preparing financial statements, reports, and Tax returns.
  • Analyzing accounting data, trends, costs, revenues, and obligations.
  • Advising management on financial decisions, efficiencies, and risk analysis.
  • Processing tax payments and returns.
  • Tracking payments to internal and external stakeholders
  • Monthly Payroll and tax administration.
  • Reconcile account payable and receivable.
  • Ensure timely bank payments.
  • Prepare income and expenditure statements when required.
  • Reinforce finance data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
  • Report on company’s financial health and liquidity.
  • Actively develop an approach to the continuous improvement of internal controls and management reporting systems
  • Any other duty that may be assigned to with time.
