Under the direction of the Senior Accountant:
Helps the business make critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, and correcting the company’s finances.
Prepares the accounts for financial audits, reconciling bank statements, calculates tax accounts, and ensures financial records are accurate throughout the year.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs all accounting transactions and financial statements.
- Prepares and examines financial records, and ensures that records are accurate and that taxes are paid.
- Handles monthly, quarterly and annual accounts closings.
- Examines bank statements and reconciles them with the general ledger entries.
- Reconciles accounts payables and accounts receivables.
- Computes taxes and prepares tax returns.
- Provides accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information.
- Ensures compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations, and systems of internal control.
- Generates financial reports that display the company’s profits, equity and cash flow.
Job Requirements
Education: BA degree / Diploma in accounting
Experience: 4 / 6 years of relevant experience in accounting in business organizations.
Skills: Computer skills with proficiency in the use of financial software.
