Key responsibilities:
1. Manage all accounting transactions
2. Prepare budget forecasts and financial statements
3. Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
4. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
5. Ensure timely bank payments and tax compliance
6. Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
7. Analyze balance sheets and profit/loss statements
8. Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
9. Comply with financial policies and regulations
10. Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for portfolio companies
11. Advice colleagues and management on decisions related to the company’s finances
12. Reporting to the organization and senior management regarding audit results, and observations
13. Identifying business process risks and developing risk management strategies.
14. Analyze investment opportunities for MTI.
Qualifications/Background:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2. Minimum three years’ experience from accounting and/or auditing
3. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel
4. A self-starting, proactive person who shows initiative, ownership, and leadership.
5. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures,
6. Skilled in planning, productivity, and workload management
7. Strong verbal communication and writing skills in English
8. Excellent computer skills
• Hands-on experience with accounting software such as e.g. QuickBooks or Sage.
Preferred Skills:
• Previous work experience from one of the big 4 accounting firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY or KPMG)
• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification
• Knowledge of IFRS
