Minimum Qualifications of the Successful IPSA
Minimum Education requirements:
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in International Development, Political Science, Development Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, Law, or related field is required; OR
- A first-level university degree (Bachelor´s degree) in the areas mentioned above, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience, may be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Minimum years of relevant work experience:
- Up to 2 years (with Master´s degree) or minimum 2 years (with Bachelor´s degree) of demonstrated experience with the UN and NGOs in humanitarian, peace, and development integrated programming.
Required Skills:
- Experience in coordinating diverse stakeholders with the objective of enhancing the efficient delivery of shared objectives is an asset;
- Demonstrated experience in program monitoring against set indicators is required;
- Proven experience or ability in drafting reports is required;
- Willing to work in remote and hardship areas;
- Expertise in Localization efforts is an asset;
- Experience in Nexus programming is required;
- Solid experience and knowledge at the programmatic level relating to conflict and peace dynamics of South Sudan or its surrounding region is an asset.
Required Language(s)
- Fluency in English is required;
- Fluency in Arabic is desired.
