The Bulldozer Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of bulldozer equipment to support earthmoving, grading, clearing, and other construction activities on project sites.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate bulldozer equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with project requirements and safety procedures.
- Carry out excavation, grading, leveling, backfilling, and site clearing activities as instructed.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections and report any mechanical faults or defects.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and ensure the equipment is kept clean and in good working condition.
- Follow site plans, supervisor instructions, and operational guidelines during earthworks activities.
- Ensure safe maneuvering of equipment around workers, structures, and other machinery on site.
- Monitor fuel, oil, and hydraulic levels and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Complete daily equipment and activity logs accurately.
- Adhere to all company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Be willing to work at multiple project sites and under varying weather conditions.
Qualification, Skills, and Experience
- Certificate or formal training in heavy equipment operation from a recognized institution.
- Valid heavy vehicle driving license.
- Must have an Engineering Plant Class permit/license.
- At least 2–3 years of experience operating bulldozers in civil works, road construction, or related construction projects.
- Good understanding of earthmoving operations, grading techniques, and site safety practices.
- Ability to perform minor troubleshooting and routine equipment maintenance.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong safety awareness and discipline.
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to demanding site conditions
