As a Software Development Engineer in Test at Pyypl, you will play a critical role in software quality assurance by combining coding skills with testing expertise. Your primary responsibilities include developing automated test scripts, designing test frameworks, and ensuring the reliability and functionality of software applications through systematic testing processes. You will collaborate closely with the development teams to identify issues early in the software development lifecycle and maintain a robust suite of automated tests to support continuous integration and delivery. Our aim is to enhance software quality, reduce defects, and accelerate the release of high-quality software products.

1.    Design and develop robust and highly scalable test automation frameworks and test plans for backend systems.
2.    Build scalable modules of automated test frameworks across the latest technologies.
3.    Develop tools and scripts to increase efficiency of testing software
4.    Champion functional testing, and other Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes leading up to superior quality products.
5.    Proactively identify bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues, and devise solutions to these problems.

 WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESFUL IN THIS POSITION?
•    Hold a BS or MSc. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent industry qualification.
•    Have at least 5+ years of backend development experience in cloud or non-cloud systems with 3 years as a senior.
•    Passion for Products – Show a genuine compassion for products and software.
•    Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment – Have some experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for backend systems
•    Excellent Communication – Possess excellent communication skills and a willingness to build new teams and create new organizational structures in the start-up ecosystem.
•    Some basic familiarity with functional programming, node/typescript, or DevOps is a plus, but not required.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
•    Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work efficiently within cross-functional teams.
•    Familiarity with AWS Lambdas and serverless technologies
•    Familiarity with AWS CloudFormation

•  Experience in security testing, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
•  Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques.
•  Experience withserverless  technologies Lambda.
•  Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms and services
•  Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
• Expertise in test methodologies, including functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
