Roche Diagnostics in Nairobi, Kenya has an opening for a Finance Manager for Kenya and the East Africa Network.

You as our successful candidate will lead and manage financial health, compliance and finance processes across the whole of the East Africa Network. You will also be tasked to lead all aspects of  Supply Chain operations & procurement to optimize customer experience & value.

The role reports to the Country Manager and Network Lead of Diagnostics Kenya and the East Africa Network lead with a functional reporting line to the Finance Manager for the Diagnostics Subregion Africa.

Key Challenges:

  • Act as a strategic Business Partner for the Country Manager of Diagnostics Kenya and the East Africa Network lead.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and directions to the Local Leadership team.
  • Advising on mid-/long term business and financial planning, formulating financial targets and budgets for the East Africa Network.
  • Leading the financial operations out of Diagnostics Kenya, covering all 7 markets of the East Africa Network.
  • Be responsible for leading the company’s P&L and Net Operating Assets.
  • Be accountable for implementing the internal control framework and ensures overall financial compliance with local laws and Roche guidelines.
  • Drive cross functional process standardization, automation and integration in collaboration with all relevant collaborators in the local organization by demonstrating your regional and global expertise and experience.
  • Be a key contributor to the development of the Africa Finance & Supply Chain Chapter, Ambassador for Future of Finance Transformation on the African Continent and beyond.

Who you are as our ideal candidate:

Required Qualification and experience 

  • At minimum a Bachelor’s degree. MA/MBA is preferred .
  • At least 10 years experience as a Finance Professional with broad Business Partnering knowledge in a similar industry or environment.
  • At least 2 years experience as a proven VACC  leader and people manager who prioritizes enterprise-wide impact and focuses on high-impact work.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English is a must, any other language is an asset
