Meru Agro-Tours & Consultants Co. Ltd (MATCC) is a local private company based in Arusha, specializing in the agricultural inputs business. The company engages in the multiplication and distribution of agro seeds, importation and distribution of agrochemicals, and offers technical advisory services on farm input use and management. Additionally, MATCC conducts agricultural research in collaboration with national, regional, and international research institutes. As part of its business development strategy, the company seeks self-driven candidates to fill the position of Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze financial performance and identify trends for strategic decision-making.
  2. Coordinate the annual company budgeting process, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  3. Analyze budget vs. actual performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  4. Mentor and guide accounts and finance team members to foster continuous improvement within the department.
  5. Set performance objectives and support the professional development of the finance team.
  6. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  7. Prepare and submit timely tax returns, NSSF, and WCF contributions.
  8. Oversee the procurement process, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  9. Ensure compliance with all local tax and legal requirements.
  10. Prepare and maintain accurate daily transactions and keep the financial system updated.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (T) with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.
  3. Strong mathematical, technical accounting, and financial skills.
  4. Proficiency in IFRS accounting/reporting and strong analytical skills.
  5. Familiarity and competency in using QuickBooks.

Experience:

  • At least three years of work experience in finance or accounting in a reputable organization.

Remuneration:

  • Negotiable, based on the competency of the candidate.
