About The Position
- Checking protection settings in soft start and Variable Speed Drive (VSD) control units.
- Carry out firmware upgrades in soft start and Variable Speed Drive (VSD) control units as required.
- Propose the modifications required for the safe and reliable operation of the Soft Start and Variable Speed Drive (VSD) units.
- Provide SOW and Bill of materials required to execute the modification.
- Upon COMPANY approval, the Specialist shall supervise the execution of modifications.
Requirements
- Bachelors in Electrical, Instrumentation & Control System Engineering.
- Minimum 10 Years of experience in the installation, troubleshooting, repair, modification, configuration/setting change, testing, commissioning, and startup of MV / LV Soft Starters, and Variable Speed Drive Units.
- Must have knowledge of Soft Starters, and Variable Speed Drive Units ( Rockwell & VECON ).
- Good interpersonal skills and exposure/experience to Offshore platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willing to work on short-term (2 weeks) – medium-term (6 months) commissioning/services
