” Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
Gal 6:7
A man’s life is the sum total of his previous investments on himself. Every medical doctor has trained for medicine, for which reason he has that prestigious role in society. The seed of accounting makes one an accountant and not a pilot, in the same manner; seeds of mediocrity will harvest for you a package of mediocrity. Seeds of greatness will of necessity make one great. It’s unfortunate that many folks expecting a great harvest have never sowed anything. Oral Roberts said, “I never ask God for anything until I have sowed a seed for it.” I suppose we should all be that reasonable.
Believers need to learn to put their best into whatever they do if ever they will harvest the best. The people of the world may take 8 months to create a 2 hours movie of which it will cost them millions of dollars, when they come out with excellent quality pictures we begin to say it’s of the devil but that is all ignorance. The Lord once commended an unjust steward not for his crookedness but because he had done wisely. In Luke 16:8, Jesus said, ” And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.” It ought not to be so, the believers ought to top in bringing up new inventions, but many dont invest in themselves. In the world, people put a lot of money into what they do to spread it, but believers drop a $1 and expect to impact the world,to be honest; that’s just being stupid. You wouldn’t invest a $1 from your salary and expect to harvest a million dollars. Many folks just say religiously they are committee to work of the ministry, but their actions testify against them. There must be a change.
I read something interesting from Jose Mourinho, a prominent Chelsea manager . He said,“I studied Italian five hours a day for many months to ensure I could communicate with the players, media, and fans.” He compared himself with another coach Ranieri who had been in England for five years and still struggled to say ‘good morning’ and ‘good afternoon.’ and he said these two couldn’t have the same success. You see, the man was a coach already in his previous club (Inter Millan), but though he had the job he knew to be successful, he needed to invest in himself . Well, no wonder Mourinho is one of the best football coaches in the world. He invests in himself and has a right to expect a great harvest. Some of our failures are perfectly legal because we dont sow anything first. It would be injustice for some of you to achieve great things because you just dont invest in yourselves. Make up your mind that for every harvest you expect, you have sowed the seed first.
