“For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Therefore, watch and remember that by the space of three years, I ceased not to warn everyone night and day with tears.” Acts 20:29-32
The bible has already warned us concerning some erroneous preachers. Paul called such folks “grievous wolves” who come not from the world but from amongst the Church. These folks obviously will know some things from the bible but will spread error “to draw men after themselves. Whatever preaching or miracles one performs, if he doesn’t direct people to Jesus, then you need not follow after him. The subject of the bible is not anything else, but the LORD JESUS for him alone is to be preached.
The source of all power can be traced from who gets the glory after whatever demonstration of power. We are called to serve the LORD JESUS and not idolise some mortal men. Jesus said in Matthew 7:22-23
“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Isn’t it amazing that Jesus will denounce these folks who even prophesy, cast out devils, and do many wonderful works. Now, it doesn’t mean anybody who prophecies or works miracles is wrong. There are false prophets because there are true prophets. The bible says to test the spirits, and we will share more on that later. Many are being deceived and getting robbed of their precious money, which should profit in winning the lost . It looks old-fashioned to some folks to make an alter call and ask sinners to receive Jesus. Brothers and sisters, don’t be deceived. Any man can be healed but still go to hell. Any man can be wealthy and go to hell. The one that people need for total salvation is Jesus and his life coming into you. People would rather purchase a bottle of anointing oil, anointed wristband, anointed sticker, etc, rather than a bible. This is a great evil under the sun. If you have been doing it WITH ALL AUTHORITY, I say STOP it and ask God to forgive you and crown JESUS to be lord over your life.
