“For the kingdom of heaven is as a man traveling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. But he that had received one went and digged in the earth and hid his lord’s money.”
Mat 25:14-18
The word of God I share with you is designed for your advantage. Learning the accurate word of God and practicing it can never be a waste of time. The word of God works. The above portion describes the classes of people we have in our world today. There are those who either do nothing with their abilities and end up saying they are cursed when poverty seems to be their portion, there are also those who USE their abilities only to eat up all they harvest and have nothing to trade. There are those who labor, harvest, and trade. According to the parable, ONLY those who TRADED gained something more to what they had.
You see, there are practical steps to gaining more money. The master was not pleased that he buried his talent. He was displeased that there was no gain from him. The question is, is he pleased when YOU are given talents “money- salary” monthly, but at the end of the year, you have NO GAIN. Read again the opening scripture, and you will see it by TRADING that others gained. Yes, we can pray and fast, but what are you trading? God’s word is teaching us that it is wisdom to invest in profitable businesses than to just keep money. Isn’t it amazing that banks do make huge profits by USING your money. Whatever talent God has blessed you with, God expects you to use it and have a yield of it. Now, this is why God expects you to GIVE OFFERINGS because he made you a steward over his goods. You came to the world with nothing. Everything you have now was already in the world before you came. That means the materials that are already in the world are well able to sustain you. Why am I saying these things? Because you can create success from what’s already there, all it takes is USING what’s already there intelligently, and you surely will gain. You see, in the Old Testament, the folks were told not to appear before the LORD empty-handed, but this was a blessing for everybody was caused to work to meet a spiritual obligation. You have a responsibility to send the gospel all around the world, and God expects you to succeed in that assignment. Poverty should never be the reason we fail to preach.
From this day, you can become a businessman or woman. You don’t need 5 talents to do business, the one who had 2 talents traded , and the master expected the “worthless servant” to have traded with the 1 talent. You can learn/master these things for your entire life until you practice them. The bible says, “Whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” This calls you to do something with what you have. See yourself big, and don’t ignore the language of the wealthy “shares, investment, returns,” be knowledgeable about this, and stop thinking “debts, bills, poverty, owing.” Think up. I can see someone winning. 1 Thess 4:11 says ” … do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;”
