” Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:”

I know of many people who refused help they desperately needed because of pride. They chose suffering rather than to be humble and receive help. There are families broken simply because one part was too proud to say ” I am sorry”. I have often said, learn to say Please , I’m sorry, Thank you and I love you. These few words can change your whole life. They can fix your home, your job or relationships. Humility will open doors which prayer and fasting may never open. Humility will take you were skill and brilliance will never take you. Pride can take you down, you will not be promoted even though you are so gifted and skilled. Pride however is a very personal thing, because it’s a matter of the heart or your soul. It’s a matter of programming. There are no prayers against pride, it’s just a matter of having your mind renewed by the word. Train yourself to walk in love and pride will vanish away.
Romans 13:7 says Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. Give respect to those who are above you. Now, don’t say we are all the same. We are all the same in salvation but we have different responsibilities, there are those God has given you to lead you. Be humble and recognize them. Are there levels in the Spirit, someone may ask, the answer is yes. We all are superior to satan and everything of his.
The bible says the church members should submit to the leadership in the church, the husband should be subject to Christ to lead a great home. The wife should submit to the husband, children are to submit to parents and servants to their masters. Any deviation is a form of pride. If you will cast away pride you will receive so much help. The person who may help you is the person you are too proud to approach. Be humble and ask for help when you need it. Many times people say , I will do it alone with God not because they are declaring in faith but in pride. God sent help to you before you were born, you may just be proud to recognize that help. Yes, that young person may be the one who carries your solutions.That person you despise may be the one to take you to the next level. Pride is not something for rich people, you can be poor and very proud and many times people remain poor because of pride.
