Proverbs 13:20 says ” He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. The disciples of Jesus behaved differently after they had walked with Jesus, their priorities , and way of life changed. YOU CAN NOT TRULY WALK WITH JESUS AND BE NOT IMPACTED BY HIS LIFE. You can’t hear Jesus and remain selfish, YOU CAN ONLY BUT THINK OF SAVING MAN AFTER HEARING HIM. walking with the wise does not mean marching in the road with wise people. No ; it means to fellowship, drink together, and rub minds with the wise. Many would to God that they spend hours pouring their hearts unto the Lord which is not bad, however spending time hearing the Lord Pour his heart unto you is greater.
When God communicates his purpose to you and you receive it into your heart, you will become a changed man or woman. Many will wonder why you are so passionate about the gospel, but it is because you fellowship with God almighty who believes so much in the salvation of man that he gave his best to save the world. You will begin to reflect the same desires as that of God. The more you fellowship with the wise, the wiser you become, especially if you learn to listen. I have heard some people talk and could tell they had been from ” Jehovah’s Witnesses “. There is a language of the one who is ignorant and there is a language for the informed. When you spend time fellowshiping with God through the word, The Holy spirit and the Church, the God life will be revealed in you so much so that people will take notice that Christ is alive in you.
1Co 15:33 (WEB) says ” Don’t be deceived! “Evil companionships corrupt good morals.” That means your manner of life can be influenced by those you fellowship with either good or bad. They can be people, books, videos, or audios but all these have the ability to communicate thoughts into you that have either constructive or destructive capabilities. You dont have to hear me talk for 30 minutes before you know i have been in the word. Whatever you give yourself to will reflect in and through you. Give yourself to the word and reflect Jesus.
