“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.”

There are different visions people pursue in life. It’s either heavenly, earthly, or visions of satanic origin. To be effective and successful, one ought to know his purpose first and harness his energies towards the fulfillment of that purpose. Success with God is the fulfillment of your God-given assignment. No matter what you have achieved in this world, if you fail on God’s assignment for your life, then you are a real failure. John the baptist had an effective ministry that lasted only 6 months. He fulfilled his assignment and was cut off. It’s not about how long you live, but it’s about what you live for that counts more. God doesn’t want us to go to heaven as fools not having achieved anything. He wants us to live long but not as a liability but instead to be an investment in this world. I am a blessing. That’s why I shouldn’t die quickly. I am very vital in God’s plan for saving and lifting men. I wake up daily with that commitment.
After hearing the word of God and receiving the revelation of God into your heart, the most important thing becomes YOUR RESPONSE. That is the measure of obedience, and it will ultimately determine your destiny. What is your response to the word of God? Paul immediately responded to the message he received from the LORD. Static people are men and women who are not in pursuit of any definite vision that calls for commitment. Nobody achieves anything worthwhile if ignorant, mediocre, lazy, and fearful , which defines his character. Until your assignment becomes a MUST, many times, it is never done. Why are you alive? What’s the reason for your existence? Until you can point out these, you may never achieve anything for God.
Be in pursuit of your purpose, live for something. Don’t just exist, God sent you to contribute something of value to his creation. You will disadvantage the world by you not taking your place.
