If your today is better than your yesterday, then you have more than enough reasons to thank God. If you have something you used to wish for , then give thanks. It doesn’t have to be big for you to give thanks. There was a day it possibly took a miracle for you to hold a $1000 ,now that you easily handle the amount, give thanks. Maybe you used to pray for marriage, a job ,a child, or even clothes, now that you have; give thanks unto God. Celebrate God’s goodness. Maybe you were sick, and now you are well, give thanks.
You may not be a millionaire, but you are far better than you were years ago. Dont just look at your needs, count your blessings, name them one by one and you will be surprised what the LORD has done. Some came out of deep poverty where having a mobile phone was a miracle, always remember that there are those who didnt get better but rather got worse. Some have jobs for which they are not qualified for and those qualified are jobless. Instead of filling your prayers with complaints, GIVE THANKS. Thank God for those who love you and care for you. One of the greatest blessings of life is having parents. Many times, those who have parents dont even appreciate them until they lose them. Your parents are not special because they are dead. Thank God for them because they are alive. Your thanks preserves them. Jesus got of 5 loaves and 2 fishes, he gave thanks and the food multiplied. Giving thanks is a sure way of activating the miracle power of God.
Many of us received the gospel in a very sorry state, but we are no longer there anymore. We were defeated, confused, and living in fear, but not anymore. We are the proof that indeed the gospel works. From being the needy we now give to the needy, what we used to pray for we now give out lavishly. The LORD is good, and his mercies endureth forever. Take time to give thanks.
