That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. ”
Eph 2:12-13
There are different ways in which people ralate with one another, with God, with the world, and even with the devil. We gonna touch on almost many of these, and I promise it’s going to be an interesting long series. The most important relationship is our relationship with God. Nomatter the connections we have with man,if we are not connected to God, then we are in darkness. Because of Adam’s transgression, a man is born cut off from the life of God. That’s just a kind way of saying, “a man is born an enemy of God.” Unlike some fellows, God is not in the business of fighting his enemies. The only enemy he is against is Satan. The man who is described above as without hope, when he meets with God, shouts, ” Christ in me is the hope of glory.” Col 1:26
Romans 5:10 says, ” For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” Mark the words ” WE WERE ENEMIES”. Ephe 2:2-3 says ” Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.” The Sinner is BY NATURE a child of wrath. He is destined for hell from the womb “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)” Eph 2:4-5 God loved his enemies enough to Send his son to die for them. Those who advocate for killing their enemies act very contrary to God’s nature.
Col 1:21-22 says ” And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:” Isn’t it amazing that God has made us Holy and unblameable in his sight through the death of his son Jesus Christ. This is the gospel. Jesus came to reconcile us back to God,we didn’t even seek to be reconciled, but God still reached to save us. God is Love, HE HAS INVESTED SO MUCH TO SAVE MAN KIND, he sent his Son Jesus, and furthermore, he has sent thousands of preachers with millions of dollars ONLY for the purpose to save man. No man can just approach God his own way,it is actually Jesus ONLY that can bring man into fellowship with God. 1 Peter 3:18 says ” For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:” It is him only that can bring man unto God. I am naturally a Soul Winner, and I got hundreds of scriptures in my mind concerning this, which I can’t share in this small space. The point to note is, we were ENEMIES, but NOW, we have been RECONCILED to GOD. Romans 5:1 says, ” Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:” There is peace between us and God. So who are we now?
