” But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.”
Acts 20:24
Apostle Paul was a remarkable man of God. He was warned by the Holy Spirit of persecutions that awaited him, but he had the audacity to say, ” None of these things move me…”. If you indeed want to be all that God has called you to be, you should be a solid person, one who is not moved by situations or circumstances. Many people start things and never see them to the end because they allow themselves to be moved by opposition. Violent winds may be beat against your business, career, finances, or whatever project committed to you, refuse to be moved. 1 Corinthians 15:58 says ” Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”
Don’t let negative people distract you from your walk. Even in the house of God, there are people who may seek to move you. Before you get started in anything, make up your mind that you will see it to a successful end and be determined to put your best to make it a success. Now, without the ability of the Holy Spirit, you can only do what ordinary man can do. You will be frustrated just like anybody else, but the Holy Spirit is our advantage. He causes us to do what ordinary man can’t do. We can see what ordinary man can’t see. This is why it’s important to be full of the Spirit. God wants to help you win in life. Not only in your spiritual walk but in all aspects of life. That includes your finances, marriage and relationships, your health, and just everything.
Don’t only finish but finish with joy. Without joy, life is not worth living. Let your joy be independent of circumstances. Your fellowship with the Holy Spirit is what determines the joy you can experience irrepective of circumstances.
