” And the lord commended the unjust steward because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.”
Luke 16:8
Sometimes, what you need is not to have hands laid on you in prayer but a change of character. Some people are simply rude, arrogant, proud, and habitual liars, for which reason they struggle to have any sensible relationships or marriage. No amount of praying will change their situation. Romans 12:2 says ” And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind” Transformation is going to come into your life by changing the way you think. I have often said, “Learn new words of love.” Learn to say, Thank you, I love you, and I am sorry” These words could change your life more than any prayer you can pray.
Stop being angry at just everyone around you. The rate of divorces amongst christians is astonishing. Homes are not built only by prayer. You are to reflect wisdom in your walk. Make those around you laugh and enjoy life.1 Corinthians 7:33-34 ” But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife. 7:34 There is a difference between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.” If you are married and you are not seeking to please your spouse then you are going to fail. You don’t get married only to please yourself but with a resolve to please your spouse. If you don’t take time to know what your spouse wants, then you may never please them. There is no praying here. It’s just acting on 1 Cor 7:33-34. If all you reflect is a stinking attitude, you will pray until rapture but never have a home of your own.
Some folks believe everyone out there is a problem except them. Sometimes the problem is your tongue, sometimes it’s the anger you reflect and sometimes it’s how you show up at 3 pm for a date set for lunch. There is a lot to be said about these things.
