To identify and manage maintenance and data systems to continuously improve the KMP Process Plant Engineering and Reliability reports.
Key Responsibilities
Works with Section Head to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
Participates in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans.
Participates in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical suppliers and technical maintenance service providers.
Develops acceptance tests and inspection criteria.
Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines a well-established reporting system.
Provides input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation.
Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. These problems include capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues.
Works with Section Heads to develop reports and perform analyses of assets/processes including:
Overall Equipment Effectiveness
Utilization
System Availability
Component Remaining useful life
Maintenance Cost Analyses
Downtime Analyses
Identify Bottlenecks and initiate debottlenecking processes
Other parameters that define operating condition, reliability and costs of assets
Provides technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel.
Work with IT & Digital to develop automated KPI reporting framework
Perform Data driven Condition Monitoring of Assets through use of equipment sensor tags (IoT)
Develop and maintain overall plant health report/dashboard by use of Reliability Data (i.e. VA; Oil Analysis; UT; Motion Amplification; Sensor Tags; Motor Current Signature Analysis)
Develop/review equipment/component life cycle management
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical or related field
Proven Data Analysis Skills with a high proficiency in the following:
MS SQL
MS Excel
MS Power BI
Python and/or R
Understanding and experience using probability and statistical methods to provide insights to Maintenance teams to improve asset/process performance.
Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of Fixed Plant processes and equipment would be an added advantage
Knowledge in Condition Monitoring Technics (MLA1/MLA2/VA CAT1 certification added advantage)
Problem-Solving: Proven track record of creative and innovative thinking.
Reliability Engineering Certification would be an added advantage (CMRP; CRE; ARP)
Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
Minimum 5 years’ maintenance experience in the manufacturing/construction/mining or related industry
Understanding of complex electrical and mechanical equipment
Minimum 3 years working in a Reliability Engineer Role with a track record of developing automated reports/dashboards.
