Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation is a major player in the Zimbabwean Mining Industry and a key contributor to the growth of the Zimbabwean economy through mining and mining development. The Corporation has the following exciting, fixed term opportunities that have arisen at our Golden Kopje Mine (Chinhoyi).
Duties and Responsibilities
• Planning and scheduling maintenance and communication of the same
• Conducting scheduled and breakdown maintenance of the plant
• Ensuring plant availability and reliability
• Conducting plant inspections for preventative maintenance
• Investigating and reporting on all breakdown maintenance
• Ensuring standardised and compliant electrical, and mechanical installations
• Monitoring and inspecting all contractor installations for quality and compliance
• Formulation and ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures
• Ensuring availability of all critical spares through timeous ordering
• Ensuring safety of plant and people
• Budgeting for the department
Qualifications and Experience
• Certificate in Machine-shop Engineering, Fabrication Engineering or Electrical Power Engineering or Equivalent
• Apprenticeship Training Certificate
• 5 O level passes
• 5 years working experience as an Engineering Foreperson
