Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Account and Finance Officer who is a Chartered Accountant to manage and oversee our financial activities. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and company policies while maintaining accurate financial records and driving financial efficiency.

What to expect:

  1. Financial Management & Reporting:
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
  • Maintain compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and other relevant accounting standards.
  1. Taxation & Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and other statutory obligations.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and auditors to facilitate audits and tax filings.
  • Keep up to date with changes in financial regulations and ensure company compliance.
  1. Accounts Payable & Receivable Management:
  • Oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and financial discrepancies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Chartered Accountant (ICAN, or equivalent certification).
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or audit roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Business Centra.
  • Proficiency in accounting softwares.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
