The FAO shall oversee the finance, human resources, information technology and administrative functions of the company.
Nature and scope of the position
- Produce financial statements of the company in accordance with
IFRS and statutory reporting requirements. - Present periodic financial reports for discussion by management and the Board
- Coordinate the development of annual budgets
- Coordinate with external auditors
- Ensure compliance to prevailing taxation laws and regulations.
Requirements
Academic
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and/or Accounting or Business Administration with a strong bias in Finance/Accounting.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience serving in a similar position in a reputable organization.
- Membership to professional bodies and possession of relevant Chartered certifications is an added advantage.
Other desirable skills and experience
It is essential that the post holder has the following;
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- Proficiency in working with Microsoft packages, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Confidence in liaising with external organisations and regulators
- High analytical skills
- Self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision
