PPDR works to promote the protection, empowerment, and inclusion of refugees through education, livelihood support, and advocacy initiatives. The organisation is committed to transparency, accountability, and responsible resource management in all its programs.

Position Summary

PPDR is seeking a qualified and highly motivated Finance Officer to manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure effective financial reporting, compliance, and accountability in line with organisational policies and donor requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage daily financial operations, including payments, receipts, and petty cash

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, vouchers, and supporting documentation

  • Prepare monthly financial reports, budgets, and cash flow statements

  • Ensure compliance with PPDR financial policies, donor regulations, and audit requirements

  • Conduct bank and cash reconciliations in a timely manner

  • Support budget planning, monitoring, and expenditure tracking for projects

  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of all financial records

  • Support internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations

  • Provide financial guidance to programme staff as required

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience; NGO or humanitarian experience is an added advantage

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and basic accounting principles

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
