Duties (Responsibilities)

• Submits requirements for all repair and maintenance work
• Carries out all plumbing repairs on all tourist facilities and staff accommodation
• Responsible for all water reticulation on all tourist facilities, offices and staff accommodation
• Installs new piping on all newly constructed buildings
• Carries out routine checks of all plumbing installations as instructed by the Officer in Charge
• Ensures the proper maintenance of all departmental assets/tools in the plumbing workshop
• Ensures that all plumbing stocks are adequate
• Liaises with Ministry of Construction for inspections on major renovations and new buildings,
• Liaise with EMA and ZINWA to maintain the required standard of water according to the laws of Zimbabwe and WHO.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• 5 O’ level passes
• Journeyman class 1 (Plumbing) or related qualification.
• At least 1 year relevant experience
• Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Manual dexterity and physical strength
