The Fundraiser will develop and maintain the fundraising strategy of Pretoria Boys High School. He/she should have experience in fundraising, sales or marketing. The successful incumbent should have an understanding of the school’s ethos, or association with an institution of similar character, would be an advantage.
Key responsibilities for the Institutional Fundraiser will include:
- Create a sustainable revenue stream of donations from trusts, foundations, corporate SA, as well as individuals.
- Strategize and successfully execute fundraising campaigns.
- Be an ambassador for the school who is able to convey the school’s mission, vision, and programs to potential donors.
The Institutional Fundraiser must meet the following requirements:
- A tertiary qualification in marketing or fundraising.
- At least three years of experience in fundraising, sales, or marketing.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Experience in writing grant proposals and fundraising letters.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Passion for research.
- An existing understanding of the school’s ethos, or association with an institution of similar character, would be an advantage.
It is envisaged that the role may not necessarily be based at the school, so an ability to work independently is essential, i.e., work-from-home or working remotely is a possibility.
