To co-ordinate and manage the upkeep/ Repair/routine maintenance of process equipment including but not limited to: CIP, all manufacturing equipment (homogenizers, flash blenders, tanks, various filling equipment, chillers, compressors, Automation and SCADA, packaging lines, bulk receiving and storage.
Key performance areas/responsibilities:
- Increase focus on Preventative Maintenance: identify, implement and maintain a standard approach to reliability improvement across various equipment platforms aligned with the CPS maintenance strategy.
- Enhance maintenance philosophy by using more analytical and practical approaches such as condition-based monitoring and failure analysis (Predictive Maintenance Approach)
- Standardize maintenance processes, create/improve efficiency.
- Driving the use of digital tools Prometheus and PM module on SAP S4 Hanna
- Clear simple Performance tracking that will drive improvement.
- Managing project execution within set timelines and agreed standards.
- Capability building, a learning culture.
- Managing Electrical/Mechanical/instrumentation technicians
- Enforcing general safety and housekeeping standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience of developing and implementing an appropriate maintenance strategy
- Concentrate manufacturing equipment and process understanding.
- Track record in leading technical problem solving on process equipment and a problem-solving mindset with experience of continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in computerized preventative maintenance planning systems – SAP.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Engineering qualification, preferably a Degree in Mechatronics/Automation/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Project management certification presents an added advantage.
PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE
- +5 years relevant work experience
- People management experience will be an added advantage.
