Job description

As a Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with quality standards and regulations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the overall quality of our projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits on construction sites to identify and address quality issues promptly.
• Collaborate with site managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to establish quality requirements for each project phase.
• Review and approve quality control documentation, including inspection reports, test plans, and quality assurance procedures.
• Monitor the implementation of quality control plans and ensure that corrective actions are taken when necessary.
• Conduct training sessions to educate project teams on quality control processes and procedures.
• Coordinate with third-party inspectors and testing laboratories to verify compliance with project specifications.
• Investigate and analyze the root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality control activities, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
• Participate in project meetings and provide regular reports on quality control performance to project stakeholders.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
• Familiarity with relevant localand national quality standards and codes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) is a plus.
• Familiarity with construction software and tools.

Membership in relevant professional bodies is desirable.
