Key Responsibilities
• Utilize scanning equipment and software to digitize various types of records, including documents, photos, and other media.
• Ensure the quality and clarity of digitized images, making adjustments as necessary to achieve optimal results.
• Organize and categorize digitized files according to established protocols, maintaining consistency and accuracy in file naming and metadata.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize digitization projects and meet deadlines.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on scanning equipment to ensure efficient operation.
• Safeguard the confidentiality and security of sensitive information throughout the digitization process.
• Assist in developing and implementing best practices for digital records management, including storage, retrieval, and preservation.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma in records management or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in document scanning and digitization, preferably in a records management or archival setting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and correct errors in digital images.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members across departments.
• Knowledge of records management principles and best practices, including digital preservation standards.
