Implementing the security policies and protection to safeguard the physical wellbeing of staff, tenants, visitors and property
Duties and Responsibilities
- Enforce and implement laws and company policies.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols and measures.
- Monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras, alarms and access control systems.
- Respond promptly to security breaches alarms and other emergencies.
- Conduct regular patrols of the buildings and ensure only authorized personnel have access to restricted areas.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports, including details of security breaches, incidents, suspicious activities and surveillance findings.
- Supervise the performance of the external security firm.
- Oversee and manage attendance registers.
- Verify and record the exit of tenants.
- Report complex cases to the police and follow up on their progress.
- Report incidents of theft, burglary, vandalism and other criminal activities.
- Secure all exits, doors and windows after operations close for the day.
- Handover the day`s activities and office keys to the next shift in charge before signing off.
- Ensure security lights are switched on by 7p.m and turned off by 6 a.m.
- Any other related duties that maybe assigned.
Requirements
- A minimum of Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education or holder or equivalent.
- At least five years of experience in the same role.
- Clearance or certificate of good conduct from Interpol Uganda police.
- Demonstrate good communication skills.
- Report writing skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge of computer skills in Microsoft office.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience with leading Teams.
- Emotional intelligence.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices.
