As a Self-Load Concrete Mixer Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining self-loading concrete mixers efficiently and safely. You are expected to possess a strong understanding of concrete mixing processes, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols.

Primary Responsibilities

Operation of Self-Load Concrete Mixer:

• Operate self-loading concrete mixer equipment to mix and transport concrete to sites.
• Ensure the proper loading of raw materials, including aggregates, cement, and water, into the mixer.
• Monitor the mixing process to achieve the desired consistency and quality of concrete.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Conduct regular pre-operational checks on the self-loading concrete mixer to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating parts, cleaning, and inspecting for wear and tear.
• Report any malfunctions or issues promptly to the maintenance team.

Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while operating the self-loading concrete mixer.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.

Site Coordination:

• Collaborate with site personnel to coordinate concrete delivery schedules.
• Communicate effectively with site managers, site engineers, concrete suppliers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.

Quality Control:

• Monitor concrete mix quality and adjust proportions as necessary to meet project specifications.
• Report any deviations from quality standards and work with the quality control team to address concerns.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of concrete production, delivery, and any incidents.
• Complete daily logs and reports on equipment usage and maintenance activities.

Emergency Response:

• Be prepared to respond to emergencies and troubleshoot issues promptly.
• Follow emergency procedures and protocols to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Candidate must have a minimum of Five (5) years of experience operating Self-Load Concrete Mixer in a construction environment.
• Candidate must have a valid truck operator’s license or certification.
• Candidate must have the ability to perform physical tasks, lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
• Must be proficient in the operation of self-loading concrete mixers, strong mechanical aptitude, and knowledge of concrete mixing processes.
• Must possess an effective verbal communication and ability to understand written instructions.
• Must have strong commitment to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Must have the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse construction team.
• Must have a minimum of High school certificate or equivalent.
