IT Strategy Articulation:

• Oversee and champion the articulation and development of the IT strategy and ensure alignment with the corporate strategy, business goals and objectives
• Demonstrate ownership and communicate the IT strategic direction and objectives to direct reports ensuring dissemination to all staff in the department
• Provide broad guidelines for translating IT objectives into specific operational plans as well as approve and coordinate the execution of IT plans and work programs.

IT Governance:

• Develop the organization’s IT policies and ensure compliance by all clinic locations to which are critical to the integrity, security and performance of the organization’s technical infrastructure
• Oversee the effective management of the organization’s IT assets and ensure provision of adequate IT infrastructure to end-users
• Provide guidance to IT support staff at locations in the handling of location IT functions and oversee location IT performance
• Facilitate the achievement of IT synergies within the organization and provide guidance on all IT projects across the organization and its locations
• Identify and manage relationships with service providers and ensure consistent adherence to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

IT Infrastructure Management:

• Provide broad guidelines for the development and implementation of data management/ warehousing strategies to ensure the integrity and security of data and proper use of IT infrastructure
• Oversee the development and implementation of systems and mechanisms to ensure continuous protection of IT infrastructure

Directly oversee procurement of relevant IT equipment:

• Keep abreast of recent IT trends and developments, and their relevance/ application across the organization

Talent Management:

• Supervise IT support officers, technicians and other professionals to provide guidance in the maintenance and troubleshooting of IT equipment

Education

• Minimum of First Degree in Computer Science, Software/ Electrical-Electronic Engineering or any related discipline
• Relevant professional certifications such as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional), Project Management such as PMP or CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator).

Experience:

• Minimum of eight to ten (6) years cognate experience including specific experience with network infrastructure, operations, and application support (at least 2 – 3 years in a management capacity)
• Must possess experience in ERP deployment and implementation
• Experience in IT strategy development and implementation.

Knowledge, Skills and Competency Requirements:

• Proficiency in the functional use of key business applications including HRIS
• Knowledge of network architecture, design, management, switching and routing including server, LAN/ WAN management and security management
• Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol
• Working knowledge of system development standards, policies and procedures
• Web development skills
• Detail and process-oriented with a focus on accuracy and timely outcomes
• Ability to translate business needs into technology requirements
• Strong communication, report writing and presentation skills
